A five-star resort on the Gulf, restyled around its public realm — arrival, lobby lounge, and the brasserie that sits at its centre.
Our engagement with InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah covered a staged refresh of the public realm and a full interior for a new all-day brasserie, delivered in two phases across 2022–2023. The brief asked us to lift the resort's guest experience without closing a room — a discipline the studio has come to know well.
The palette takes its cues from the desert-sea meeting line: warm limestone, brushed bronze, linen weaves the colour of late afternoon. Lighting was rebuilt around two layers — a calm ambient base for the shoulder hours, and a second, warmer scene that lifts in the evening as the restaurant takes over from check-in.
Operations sat at the centre of the design from day one. Service routes were measured in steps, not metres; FF&E was sourced against the operator's brand standards and local supply chain; every specification was tested against a twelve-month refurb window with a live check-in desk twenty metres away.
